The Grand Pier, Weston-super-Mare - Fine Art Print
2025
The Grand Pier rises from the sea like a memory made of light. Once filled with sound and movement, it now carries the hush of early morning, when only the tide and gulls remember its former joy.
The Grand Pier stands as both monument and memory — twice claimed by fire, twice returned from ruin. Its timbers and iron have carried the laughter of generations, and the hush that follows after.
Rendered in ochre and blue-grey, this piece captures not its splendour, but its resilience — the calm after the blaze, the light that gathers on still water. Around it, emptiness becomes reverence; distance, devotion.
For every place that burns and rebuilds, there is a quiet lesson in persistence — a reminder that beauty can rise again, not in spite of loss, but because of it.
