I wanted to explore the quiet power that lingers between concealment and revelation — that space where emotion hides behind form. The portrait emerged almost instinctively, her features surfacing through layers of charcoal as though she were materialising from memory or smoke.

There’s defiance in her stillness — a softness that doesn’t submit. I left much of the piece unresolved, allowing the raw texture of the medium to hold her tension, her poise, her refusal to be fully seen.

Prints are supplied mounted with backing board and protected in a clear sleeve. They are shipped flat in a rigid board-backed mailer.
